I recently had the opportunity to participate in a photography workshop hosted and led by Ana Brandt.

Ana is a renowned maternity and newborn photographer who has been a leader in the industry as a professional and educator for over 10 years. Ana’s work has been featured in numerous publications and she has several awards to her name, including being named as one of the 50 Most Inspiring Photographers and one of the 10 Best Maternity Photographers worldwide, she has also been named one of Profotos’ Explorers of Light.  In addition to her high-quality work and many celebrity clients, Ana has revolutionized the maternity photography industry by setting the design standard for maternity gowns and the use of fabrics for client sessions.

When I learned Ana was holding the workshop “Pregnancy, Newborn and Child” at her family home in Upstate New York, I jumped at the opportunity to attend. As an attendee, I would be part of a small, intimate group allowed to use Ana’s beautiful family home as the backdrop for several customized session. We even had the privilege of meeting Ana’s mom and learning the history of their grand old home. All in all, the workshop was a unique, hands-on experience and I’m excited to apply this knowledge and experience in my own photo sessions.
